We’re back! It’s good to be back to school after last week’s snow hibernation. This week feels like two weeks crammed into one, but we’re still having fun.

I’m getting ready to attend a workshop next month put on by the National Stuttering Association in Tacoma. I’ve gone in the past, and the information has always been excellent. The neatest thing about this event is the second day. It’s geared for FAMILIES with their students, to attend on their own or along with their school SLP.

Did I mention that the event is free, packed full of useful information, includes pizza, and is FREE?

Here are the details:

Stuttering Workshop
A one day workshop for students who stutter and their parents

Saturday, March 3rd, 9:30am-4:00pm.
Larchmont Elementary School
8601 East B St.
Tacoma, WA

Students will:

  • meet other students who stutter
  • play games and activities
  • find out how other students handle their stuttering
  • meet successful adults who stutter

Parents will:

  • find out what you can do to help your child
  • increase your knowledge about stuttering
  • find out how to work as a team with your speech therapist
  • meet other parents and share experiences

Let me know if you are interested in going by leaving a comment, and I will get you some information! Registration is required because space is limited, and they need to know how much pizza to order. 🙂
